They are coming to celebrate Christmas in the old wing.

QUEEN In the very old wing of the
house, Iggy meets the queen from long ago.

THE BALL AND THE
WOMAN Iggy and Mac attend a ball
given by the queen in the old wing. There they talk with Elizabeth and watch a woman
who is in a conspiracy with their young cousin’s suitor.

THE ARRIVAL OF
THE FAMILY As the queen watches,
unseen, the rest of the family, human and pug, arrive.

MICHAEL FINDS
THE PICTURE In a ‘bad room’ in the
old wing, Michael and Mac find a strange picture which is the likeness both of
the dark woman at the ball and the mysterious woman who accompanied Rattle on
his visit.

THE PUGS AND A
PROPHECY Once again Charles the Crab
offers a hazy glimpse into the future.

RATTLE
AND THE GIRL RETURN Rattle returns
with the woman, who meets Bessie and tries to have a look a something the old
wing.

armageddon As the conspiracy explodes, the pugs find themselves
embattled. Walter is thrown from a window into the sea; while Iggy, Mac and
Wuffie fight for their lives.
XIII.
AFTER ARMAGEDDON Rattle sees to the pugs and tells Bessie what her saw of
their bravery.

A TRANQUIL INTERLUDE
Wuffie is reunited with Louisa and his new
offspring; Andrew, Michael and Rattle go visiting and Bessie learns from the
ghost of her cousin that there will be a ball for all: pugs, humans and
spirits.

preparations are made for the ball.
